The Best Pleated Midi Skirts

It has been a couple of weeks since I have put up a post about some of my favorite trends. This trend has been around a while, or at least the “midi” hem, and I can’t stop wearing it this fall! So, of course, I had to share it with YOU. At first, I wasn’t a fan of the midi hemline. When it came out as “trendy,” I thought that this trend would die pretty quickly. I found that where the hem hit on my legs made the garment look a little dated to me.

I remember looking back at some high fashion images and saw a midi skirt paired with high, rolled-up socks and tennis shoes…this look didn’t exactly make me want to go out and buy that skirt right then and there (haha)! I honestly was bothered that this was now “a thing” and told myself I couldn’t believe that eventually this look would probably grow on me and would be soon jumping on the bandwagon. Does this happen to anyone else? Well, of course, you know that I did – except no rolled socks or tennis shoes!

I Found The One…

It really wasn’t until last year when I was on shopping online on ASOS that I made my first “midi hemline” purchase. I came across this gorgeous velvet midi skirt. I knew I had to have it. At this point, the midi hemline was really growing on me as I saw it styled in dresses and some super chic pants with heels. I truly believe it is the way you style something that makes it work for any season or time period ( within reason ). My style is definitely more feminine. Although I definitely like to keep it casual at times, seeing this midi skirt with a fun pair of heels or booties is what really sold it for me!

I love this skirt SO much, not only because it is super warm, but it is so comfortable, too! I have been sharking ASOS for weeks looking for the same skirt to no avail. So, I have scoured the internet finding the best alternatives all under $100 to share with YOU. Some are velvet, like my beloved skirt, and some are leather and silk!
