Valentine’s Day to Date Night Outfit Ideas

Valentine’s Day is just a few weeks away and all I can think about is, “What the heck am I going to wear?” You may be thinking the same thing just like I am! Chris and I have a little tradition of going to Uchi every Valentine’s Day. This year we tried to think of a few different options, but kept going back to Uchi at the end of each conversation! It has been a fun tradition we have always had ever since we started dating! So, even the though Valentine’s Day can be cheesy and overrated, celebrating it between the two of us at the same restaurant makes it more special. We always like to try a bunch of different dishes but always end up getting their Fried Milk for dessert!

Knowing my plans for Valentine’s Day especially helps me prepare my outfit! However, I still am not sure if I want to wear a dress or going a bit more casual -“To be extra or not to be extra??” Ugh! Writing this post may help me out more than you all in for the end! Honestly, it really doesn’t matter what other people think BECAUSE you should be excited to be out on a fun date! With that being said, in case you are looking for some outfit ideas this Valentine’s Day, I have selected a couple of fun date night options for you to shop! From a classic black dress, party pants, and a day to night look, I’ve got you covered!

There are times when I really like to be festive. For me, that really falls on Christmas. If you have read my post 10 Fun Facts About Me, we for sure know that doesn’t fall on Halloween, haha! I also don’t really like to be too over the top on Valentine’s Day, either. Unless you are going to a Galentine’s Day party, then leave the heart-shaped sweatshirt at home! Although, I have a super cute one added to my Valentine’s Day Shop page. Instead, I like to emphasize my excitement for Valentine’s Day in a different way. I am in LOVE with this black dress I found from Zara on my trip to Paris. If you haven’t read my post, check it out here. I also have rounded up several identical dresses below. I love it paired with a fun clutch and big earrings – just to be a little festive. The earrings have a lot of blush pink in them and they make me feel super girly and fun! A black dress and a fun clutch is a classic and chic look. You also probably have this look or a similar look in your very own closet! This should help you especially if you are crunched for time and aren’t sure where you are going for Valentine’s Day just yet.

If you have been following me for a while, then you know how much I love my “Party Pants!” Not only are they comfortable, they are very flattering which will make you feel good especially on a date! Pair these with a fun blouse or blazer and you are ready to hit the town with “that special someone” or your girlfriends!

My last look to share with Y’all is one of my favorites! I saw this in Loft, and knew I immediately had to have it. The skirt and blouse are perfect for work and transition easily into a fun dinner or date night outfit. You can wear the top and skirt to work and then throw on a cute leather jacket after that clock hits 5:00! By now, you know how I LOVE versatile clothing and this could also double as a fun outfit for church or brunch! I love that the boucle has a hint of pink in it — sooo perfect for Valentine’s Day! Pair this with a pink clutch and you are good to go!
