Fun & Functional Masks

Hi, Friends!

It has been a busy few months, as I haven’t written a post since the beginning of May, but I am so glad to be getting back to some normalcy. I will be honest, it has taken me a while to get adjusted to wearing a face mask. At first, I couldn’t breathe in one and they made my skin break out. Also, with it being summer in Texas, wearing a mask made it even hotter to quickly go to and from my car to the grocery store entrance. I have also accumulated quite the collection as I like to keep some in my work bag, car, and a few extra at home that I have sanitized and ready to go.

When masks first became a requirement I had a lot of trouble finding ones that weren’t so harsh looking or disposable. I quickly ran out of disposable ones and would become frustrated as brands I loved kept selling out of their masks so quickly making them not as accessible unless they were homemade.  I think you can never have too many masks as I like to stash mine all over the place to be on the safe side. So, I decided to scour the internet looking for cute and mostly available ones for y’all! Below are my current favorites, some local brands, and a few that I just love. A few of them with philanthropic initiatives and some just for fun!

SHOP MASKS

PINK WITH STARS MASK / TROPICAL PRINT MASK / FLORAL MASK WITH MONOGRAM / PAGODA MASKS / GLITTER MASK / BLACK & WHITE MASKS / ANIMAL PRINT MASKS / FLORAL PRINT MASKS / LE LION MASK

Le Lion is an adorable brand based out of NYC that has curated beautiful Liberty of London masks with a twist and pop of glitter. You can shop the one I have linked here and be on the lookout as they often come out with new designs. $5 from a mask sale goes towards the NYC Covid-19 Impact Fund. My mask by Le Lion has been my favorite one to wear and the most breathable one that I own.

Another brand I have fallen in love with from blogging is Hello Dobson. The pagoda print and red floral print are by Hello Dobson and she also has a few other precious designs on her website as well. She often features adorable dresses and gameday accessories that I know you will all love!

Lastly, I of course could not include my mask round-up without one of my favorite brands, Tuckernuck. The floral print (top – middle) is by them and you can even monogram it! They are easy to wash or sometimes I will just spray mine with hand sanitizer spray to sanitize it if I am in and out somewhere and do not have a chance to wash and dry mine. Tuckernuck also will donate a portion of the proceeds to Mount Sinai Hospitals and No Kid Hungry.

I hope you find another mask you can add to your collection! Stay tuned for more fun updates and other pieces I love to wear in the coming months!
